Wimbledon 2015 - Preview

Djokovic - To avenge his french open loss

Djokovic is no doubt the New King of Clay but he still awaits his crown i.e “THE FRENCH OPEN” .Despite of defeating Rafa in the Quarter Finals of Roland Garros , he still couldn’t escape the jaws of the beast – “The Stanimal“
It’s abundantly clear to all the tennis fans that
“What doesn’t kill the Big three, Makes them stronger”
Djokovic certainly has the trump card entering Wimbledon. His serve has improved & so has his volley, his movement & his passing shots. He’s one of the best returners the world has ever seen .His athleticism is worth to watch at Wimbledon. In short, He means business from day 1

Federer’s dream of 8th Grass title

After failures at US open 14, Wimbledon 14, French Open 15 & Australian Open 15 it was quite sensible to believe that Swiss Maestro’s glorious days at Grand Slams were long gone. He won his last grand slam near about 3 years ago and that was his only one major title in 5 years. Since then he collapsed in 2013 & social media was flooded by quitters telling him to have a decent retirement from the game but he had a different plan in mind.
Thus, in 2014 he made a fresh comeback with a new coaching staff, new equipment & an innovation in playing style. This was quite a reasonable return which reimbursed him to Number 2 in the World Ranking with crucial achievements like winning the Davis Cup for the first time in Swiss history.
After his comeback he has regained almost all the charm he had in his glory days except a major title. Last year he fell to Novak Djokovic in an epic close battle. It seemed at that time that it was the closest he could have got & in the years to come with him slowing down & the youth gaining strength would be overcomed but coming to Wimbledon this year his stats have improved. He had 4 titles under his belt & had a better clay season. But with him getting “Betterer” a lot more improvement was seen in Andy Murray & Novak Djokovic. So the message is clear that Wimbledon 2015 will never be easy

Murray Clued-up for Another Slam Title

Murray had a disappointing 2013 and despite of relentlessly pushing forward all he had achieved was failure & a beautiful wife. Being the home favourite he could cause troubles to the current best player Djokovic. His speed on the grass is the key weapon with which he can cause major upsets

Nadal’s desperation for a comeback

Even though he had a poor season so far but his win at Stuttgart gave hope to his fans that he may make yet another comeback. He lost at French Open & this explains enough. The odds were totally against him but this is Rafa we are talking about. He had survived many times from the sticky patches. Keeping in mind the Rafa we know he certainly is one of the dark horses

The Underdogs

Stan Wawrinka: Although Stan’s ground strokes aren’t that good on grass but still having invaded the king’s land this French Open he was among the favourites. He has developed a lot of self- confidence & this confidence seems never ending. Who knows he might smash one of the big 4.
Nick Kyrgios: Nick Kyrgios is one of the rising stars to look out for. In his teens he defeated Rafa who had just French Open a month ago & this year he defeated his hero Roger Federer in Madrid in a epic three set match. He’s a show man who is all ready to put up a show
